The Morpho menelaus is a buttefly living around the Amazon in South America. It is a member of the Nymphalidae family, part of the Papilionidea. The superfamily of the butterflies belongs to the order of the "Lepidoptera", part of the Insecta class. The "Blue Morpho" has a wing span of 15 centimeters and is of a shiny blue and cyan color.
